  • Making data changes to correct data entry errors
  • Perform user access changes
  • Perform table setting changes and validations
  • Assist with validation of software updates
  • Troubleshoots Medical System software and user issues

 

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in business or computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with database environment (e.g. Access)
  • Must have critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Must be detail-oriented and have good customer service and organizational skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications but Not Required

  • Two to three years experience in the working with a medical information system.
  • Familiarity with FDA & AABB standards.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal with customer service focus.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word.
  • Basic knowledge of reporting tools (e.g. Crystal Reports)
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects involving different skill sets simultaneously.
  • Good technical and professional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Professional appearance and presentation required.
  • Maintains confidentiality and promotes good security practices.

Perform system and process & system audits for compliance with FBC and regulatory/ accrediting agencies. Reporting of all blood collection/manufacturing records and processes of various facilities throughout Florida.  In state heavy travel (80%) required; reliable vehicle a must.

 

Requirements:

 

AS Degree or higher in Medical Technology, Nursing, Biologic or Physical Science from an accredited college or university

 

OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 45 credit hours from an accredited college or university with at least 12 credits in Chemical, Physical and/or Biologic Sciences AND at least 8 years of blood center experience with a minimum of 3 years in a decision-making role.

 

Experience: 2 years experience in a blood center or 2 years auditing experience

 

Licensure Requirements:  American Society for Quality certification or eligible (ASQ CQA) or (ASQ CQIA) or Florida licensed MT or RN or eligible.

Skills: Strong customer service and organizational skills with attention to detail, self motivated, PC literate (Windows, Excel, Access)
