Peter began donating whole blood in 1984 because his bosses were
blood donors. Peter says he felt good after giving blood and
continued giving whole blood for the next 12 years. That’s
when he began giving platelets via apheresis. He continued to
donate platelets every two weeks for the next 14 years and recently
began a 75 gallon donor! Peter says though he hasn’t met
anyone who’s received blood or platelets he knows he is saving
lives.
