In addition to traditional blood donation, FBC
provides community service for other types of special donations. We
arrange autologous donations, or donations prescribed by a doctor
so a patient can donate their own blood prior to surgery. We also
facilitate directed donations where friends or family may donate
directly for a patient in need. And finally, we also participate in
the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. Bone marrow donations are
crucial in helping patients fighting cancer.
