Original Medicare does not have any out-of-pocket maximum. You keep spending some of the cost of services as you utilize them. A Humana Medicare Advantage plan, by law, comes with an out-of-pocket maximum of no more than $6,700 per year.

Humana Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans:

Humana Medicare Advantage HMO-POS plans
With Humana Medicare Advantage HMO-POS plans, you have the flexibility to see out-of-network providers for certain services. You may pay more when you go out of network. It’s a coordinated approach to your Medicare coverage that may give you more options.
With a PFFS plan, you do not have to choose a primary care physician. You also will not require a referral to see a specialist. Most annual preventive screenings can be obtained at no cost.

Special Needs plans (SNP)

How to switch from Medicare to Humana?
You can switch to a Medicare Advantage plan from Original Medicare during the Annual Enrollment Period each fall. You can’t enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan from Humana that includes prescription drug coverage if you’re already enrolled in a stand-alone Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.
